These photos are taken in black and white film photography of the prairie. Prairies are full of colorful flowers and grass, but even in black and white the prairie is still beautiful. With these photos, I just wanted to capture the beauty of the prairie, so it can be appreciated by all those who may not feel connected to the prairie. It appears as though many people in Kansas can be seeking escapism from the land around us because it's too "flat," but I think the suppression of prairies has led many people to be unable to experience all the magic that prairies have to offer. We are stripping Kansas of its charm by taking away the prairies.
